Secure File Upload

SCOOPE:

This allows you to set up a method for someone from outside the organization to upload files to your OneDrive. However, this is only possible to the Personal OneDrive and not to Shared OneDrive/Sharepoint folders.

01

Go to https://login.microsoft.com.

If the computer is not managed, you will see a login window:

  • Enter your company email and password.
  • Approve the MFA challenge on your phone (via SMS or Authenticator app).
  • If prompted to stay signed in, click the "Yes" (or "Ja") button.
02 Click on the square in the top left corner, and then choose OneDrive.
03 Click on "Mijn bestanden" or "My Files". This is your personal working folder in OneDrive. It's only accessible to you. You cannot do this for a shared OneDrive.
04 Kies voor "Nieuw" >> "Folder"
05 Name the folder "Aanvragen" (or something along those lines of your choo).
06 Open the folder you just created.

07

Create another new folder, following the steps from 04 to 05,

but name the folder after the person or organization that needs to upload files.

.
08 Right-click on the folder you just created (ACME Anvil Company in this example) and select "Bestanden Aanvragen" or "Request files".
09 Geef aan welke bestanden je van de persoon wil hebben
In het voorbeeld "Passpoort, CV en foto" en klik op "volgende"  of "Next"

10 U kunt nu op 2 manieren verder gaan:
10.1 Click on "Copy Link." or "Kopier" You will then copy the upload link for the individual or company, which you can paste into an Outlook email. This way, you have complete control over how the email will look.
10.2 Through the 'Mail program' in the window. Enter the email address and a message to the recipient.

From the recipient's perspective:

The recipient receives an email with the link.

The link takes you to the upload page.

Choose "Select files."

Select the requested documents.

Confirm the upload using the "Upload" button.

You will receive a confirmation once the documents have been uploaded.

The uploaded files can be found immediately in the created folder.
